2008 MLB All-Star Game Thread

Maybe they can play it at Yankee Stadium.

 

Considering what the AL has left in the bullpen, I don't feel good about the NL's chances at this point.

 

Did Drew just come out for a curtain call? Or did he just run up the dugout steps and get shit thrown at him?

 

For those keeping track:

AL has: Scott Kazmir, Jonathan Papelbon, Mariano Rivera, Francisco Rodriguez, George Sherrill and Joakim Soria.

NL has: Aaron Cook, Ryan Dempster, Brandon Webb, Brad Lidge, Carlos Marmol, Billy Wagner and Brian Wilson.

 

If this goes extras, I like the NL's chances.

They have starting pitchers left. The AL, has relievers and a guy that threw a billion pitches on Sunday.

Oh, and the Mariano Rivera chant is a nice touch.

 

I blame myself. I was telling the desk about how we were in good shape for deadline. Now we're fucked.

I defended Paps on the Paps thread, but this is fucking funny.
