Seems it never rains in southern California
Seems I've often heard that kind of talk before
It never rains in California, but girl, don't they warn ya?
    It pours, man, it pours

On another topic, Robby Gordon got screwed by NASCAR and his supplier. Combined with the Dakar cancellation (he had a lot of money in that program), this thing could sink the 7 team.

If they race today (a big "if," at that) I predict even fewer fans staying for the Busch Nationwide race than would have seen it yesterday.

Not that it matters ... I suspect that, like Daytona, the Nationwide tix are a package deal with the Sprint Cup race tix.

Your updated weather forecast in Fontana: high mid-50s, 100% chance of rain. Flash flood watch in effect until 2 p.m. PST. Currently 45 degrees with what Weather Undergrouund describes as a "light rain mist."

For comparison's sake, what's the weather in Rockingham this morning?

February is the wettest month of the year in SoCal. The Sprint Cup races are at the worst possible times of the year in Fontana (my former hometown): Wettest month of the year and Labor Day weekend, which is almost always the hottest weekend of the year.

    DON'T YOU DARE SECOND-GUESS NASCAR!

    NASCAR knows all.

Bring me more of the driver ratings, please!

As do we. I've heard, however, that due to feedback from member papers, Terry Taylor has told NASCAR they need to put money back in the agate.

I haven't been on desk this weekend, so I don't know if they have or not. Or when they will.

I don't remember if it was in the Truck agate last night or not.

Nothing is more meaningless in NASCAR than money. Nothing. You don't get shit for money won, unlike golf. Doesn't a race or two pay less to win than Daytona pays for about 30th?

But money doesn't require a calculus degree to understand, even if it is meaningless.
