So when will they run this thing? Tomorrow afternoon? Or will they try late morning? What's the weather outlook out there?

    Tomorrow should be fine.

Meanwhile, Gillian is humming that old George Harrison song, "While My Turn Three Gently Weeps."

Can't be --- Daewoos are now called Chevrolets (in this country and England, anyway).

EDIT: One of the worst races of the decade thus far, kills all the momentum built up a week ago at Daytona. This is just bad.

Doesn't matter. If it runs to completion, it's not making my paper regardless. Final copy deadline: 10:30.

    Ouch.

Guess that means the Nationwide race has no shot, huh?

(Are they still planning to run that tonight?)

    God I'm hoping not. It's 9:05 and we're at lap 85 of 250.

    Mother Nature now.

My sources at the track say they're running the jet dryers...while it's raining.

How far along are they - they close to halfway? The Wire, we've discovered, is much more exciting than a night of racing. Or the Oscars.

    I think they're at 85 of 250. So no.

I can't even find the race. NASCAR says it's on Fox, but I'm getting the news right now. What's the deal? Are they breaking for other programming? Or has it been postponed?

it's in a rain delay, so they're showing their regular programming until the racing goes live again (if it goes live). Or so said the guys in the booth.
