Ditch: all multiple-races venues save Daytona, Talladega, Bristol.
Add: Darlington's Labor Day race, Kentucky, Iowa, Milwaukee, Nashville, St. Louis, Montreal, Mexico City and a few more road courses.

That won't happen, of course, because of the track-ownership shenanagins that determine the dates and who gets them.

(Ditch: The Chase and the lucky dog rule too!)

Fair enough. This is my point: If NASCAR really wants to succeed in the LA market -- and not just talk about it -- then NASCAR needs to act accordingly.

If that means moving the race dates at Fontana against the will of another track in a smaller market, do it. If that means a new track surface for better racing, pay up.

Gillian Zucker might say some things that sound silly, but she is too smart to rip her bosses publicly. If the Frances really want to give the LA market their best shot, they should listen to her, and to you, and to a lot of other folks who can figure this out.

Maybe NASCAR will never catch on in LA the way the Frances think it should. But, should they pull back at some point, they ought to be able to say at a press conference, "We did everything we could." They can't say that today.

Just talked to said father. His exact quote:

"It's a damn shame when you've got to feel good about a Ford winning, you know?"

That's my Chevy-loving father. Bless him.

That says a lot right there, folks.

Carl's looking good in this Busch, er, Nationwide race.

Your dad sounds like my dad. Edwards has us conflicted. He likes the way Edwards races, but he's a career GM employee so I grew up with the No. 3 car and other Chevys.

But he DID hit Kelly Bires and wreck him.

Did he "collect" him or just crash into him?

Ran right into the back of him. Blamed it on Bires checking up. Big surprise.

Do NOT get rid of Pocono or N.H., fans in the Northeast (YES, we do exist), would get even less races to see live.
