That makes sense considering that's what Stewart is most of the time.

Yeah, we know that. But non-journalists who are fans of his - like my son - don't always see it that way. For him to be negative about Stewart and praise the reporter tells me Stewart was more over the top than usual.

I dunno. I went to Speed's message board (granted, not a bastion of parliamentary procedure and good-natured debate) and the posters couldn't get out of their own way to bash TNT's reporter.

Typical stuff like, "here's another example of the media trying to stir up shit", that kind of thing. I was tempted to log-on and ask the posters what THEY would ask, but why bother.

Anybody know why it appeared ESPN didn't have a crew in Sonoma this weekend? All of their post-race interviews Sunday were courtesy of NASCAR media.

In the open-wheel world, the National Guard sponsored car is driven by a Brazilian (Vitor Meira).

Thanks for playin' Casey, be sure to pick up a consolation prize on your way out ... and that leads us to -- Will Mark Martin freakin' retire already?

Yeah, with the way "retirement" is defined in NASCAR...put Terry Labonte back in the 5!

And they're done in Loudon .... finally .... thank God.

Rain comes, they don't have time to wait out the rain and dry the track, Kurt Busch wins, Mike Waltrip is second, Kyle Busch and Juan Montoya have a run-in after the last caution before the rain.

    Sign of the apocalypse:
    Kurt Busch wins
    Michael Waltrip is second
    Elliott Sadler finishes fifth

Edit: You beat me to it 2mcm

I don't care who wrecks a Busch brother. I'll like them anyway. Except Jeff Gordon. Fuck that guy.
