Naaaa, just buy the cheap red hot dogs to begin with. Elliott Sadler is the bologna burger champion. I forget how many he claims to have eaten in one night there, but it was somewhere in the neighborhood of 20.

That car is the very definition of the phrase, "an answer to a question no one asked."

    Oops.

Haven't seen that in a long time. Back in the old, old road-racing days, Penske's SCCA Trans-Am Series team would send its Camaros off to tech and, once passed, replace every body panel with acid-dipped (thinner) body panels for Mark Donohue to race with.

Wow, that is different. And again the alleged penalty would be weak, at least on points. (I'm sure six-figure fines do hurt these days.) What's 150 points to Vickers with four races to go? Not a darn thing. They'd have to take away 1000 points to put him on the top-35 bubble. Instead, this would be the perfect time for NASCAR to finally man up and park a car for a race.

But that would anger a sponsor. We can't have that. [/NASCAR]

If NASCAR is too chickensh_t to tell the 30-plus sponsors of the cars who didn't make the Chase to go home until Daytona in February, it's certainly not going to do anything to Brian Vickers. Or the team owner.

With the team owner being the sponsor, it would be a good time for NASCAR to grow some stones though. I would love to see what these mechanics could do if NASCAR turned its back for a good hour and let the cars out on the track. I bet it would be the best racing in 15 years.

Hell, if any sponsor was to put up little argument, it might be Red Bull. Seeing their hospitality area at some races, I get the distinct impression that the fun is not in watching what's happening on the track.

And bloody expensive. The lessons of the old Can-Am series1 have not been lost on France and Helton.
1Great series, minimal rules2 and amazing cars, but expenses quickly went through the ceiling and killed it.
2Must have four wheels, four tires, an engine, full bodywork, open cockpit and a driver using proper safety equipment ... yeah, that's pretty much the entire rulebook.

Announcement coming today: Truck Series to be sponsored by Camping World. Very good news for the trucksters.

And gee ... shocking. Vickers and his owner are docked points, while the crew chief is suspended indefinitely.

No parking of this car. Way to go after them, NASCAR.

New rule: Every truck must be equipped with one of these and must, on one pit stop, come to a complete stop, shut the engine off, level the vehicle, connect all the utility hookups and then break it down:
