One of the things I dislike about the season ending in Miami is that a) it's Miami b) the track is so wide there are few wrecks (not that I like wrecks, but when it is the last week of the season and the championship is on the line, a glorified testing session just isn't that exciting). c) it's unlikely enough cars will drop out during the race for the Cup leader going in to clinch it before the checkered flag drops.
If its a weather thing - why not finish the season in Texas?

The word, "sweet" is not exactly the adjective I have in mind, ducky.

Perhaps I worded it wrong ... considering present-day NASCAR, the changes with the new (crappy, imho) COT in the past three seasons and the level of talent (Gordon, Junior, Stewart, Edwards, Busch x 2, etc.) in the series, I think it'll be pretty impressive that one driver has been able to be so consistent through three seasons that it's even a possibility that he could join Cale Yarborough as the only drivers to win back-to-back-to-back titles.

Agreed on the fact it is an admirable feat for one team to take three titles, ala three-peat (thanks Riley).

I'm interested to see if any changes will be made to the Chase because of the consecutive championships. Sure seems all what Kyle Busch did this year will be a footnote to this season and in a way that just doesn't sit right.

.. congratulations to Kurt Busch on making the commit cone there ...

Here's what impresses me: Johnson's won the championship in the last full-time year of the old car, the transition year to the new car and then the first full-time year of the new car.

Kind of ironic that someone who drives for Joe Gibbs will be the Marty Schottenheimer of NASCAR.

I will also say I enjoyed seeing an emotion other than "angry tough guy" or "smartass" from Stewart in his pre-race interview. I kept waiting for the first tear to roll down his cheek.

Sucks to be Carl this weekend -- two wins and two second-place finishes less than 50 points back in each one.

    And JJ joins Cale's club...

And let the silly season begin. It's gonna be a fun one this go-around.

    Congrats Carl!

No, it won't. I've heard there will be lots of layoffs this week.

The Carl drove 20 mph to save gas and win the race again.

Some guy from California won the big trophy.

    Denny finished 13th.
