So about that Kansas Speedway casino deal ...

    Not so much.

NASCAR wouldn't be NASCAR without the King. Cannot envision it in any way, shape or form.

More wrong than watching the King's cars finish in the bottom half of every race for a decade?

A merger to keep the 43 alive is an absolute gift to Petty Enterprises.

At the banquet, Kevin Costner called the late Dale Earnhardt "The Terminator."

    Duoh!

It's Ironhead, anyway. Always will be.

I feel so bad for Chandra Johnson. I mean, she got all dressed up for her husband's third consecutive banquet as Sprint Cup champion...and then she accidentally sprayed herself with ostrich aphrodisiac. They apparently shed all over the bottom half of her dress.

    Yikes.

David and Jenna need to get their numbers straight. :D

I didn't watch the banquet ... did I hear correctly that The Carl gave his speech and bailed rather than listen to Jimmie Johnson's speech? You stay classy, Carl.

As mentioned on here (I think, can't remember, don't feel like going back) Carl was backstage doing his post-speech interviews. And since he was second, it took him longer than it takes most of the other guys.

    I can't vouch for that (wasn't there).

My real beef with the AP story (not Jenna's fault at ALL): Jenna says at least three dozen. Headline says at least 35. Just say at least 36. That's what the story says.

As I recall, the headline I clicked on said 36. Story said 35. Odd.

    37, 36, 35 ... too damn many.
