2008 Running Pro Wrestling Thread

Cade's long overdue as a solo.

There have been stories that Vince said Umaga will be switched to Smackdown soon. That must mean a draft is on the horizon or something, right?

 

And, if there is a draft in the near future, here's a look back at last year's series of moves.

To Smackdown: Great Khali (was champ), Torrie Wilson (gone), Chris Masters (gone), Ric Flair (retired).
SD Supplemental picks: Kenny Dykstra (jobber/dark matches), Bob Holly (back on Raw as tag champ), Major Bros (heels and aligned with Edge, but nothing more than glorified jobbers), Victoria (getting a bit of a push with Nattie Neidhart now), Eugene (gone).

To Raw: Booker T (in TNA), Bobby Lashley (gone), Snitsky (minor mid-carder, jobs to main eventers), Mr. Kennedy (turned face, is over).
Supplemental picks: London/Kendrick (tag champs briefly, but lower mid-card team), Sandman (gone), Daivari (gone), William Regal (GM of Raw and white hot right now as a heel), Jillian Hall (minor Diva talent).

To ECW: Boogeyman (?), Chris Benoit (gone for good).
Supplemental picks: Miz (tag champ), Johnny Nitro (ECW champ and tag champ and now John Morrison), Viscera (now Big Daddy V, but has not wrestled in a while because of health issues).

 

Smackdown especially definitely needs some fresh new talent on its roster. Umaga would be a decent fit. I think there will be a draft in the next three months, or maybe a trade? Something like Batista/MVP/CM Punk/Elijah Burke to Raw, Umaga/Chris Jericho/Jeff Hardy/Trevor Murdoch to Smackdown, and Rey Mysterio/JBL/Kendrick and London/Super Crazy to ECW?

 

Right before Smackdown's TV channel change would seem a good time to have a draft so the new picks can debut on the new channel.

 

I think Cade might work well as a mid-card heel. Guy was trained by Shawn Michaels, after all. Let's see how he can do. If his talent is even with Kendrick's, another HBK guy, then a match between him and Jeff Hardy would be much better than expected.

 

Wait a minute ... Big Vis has health issues!? What is this world coming to?

 

It's kind of funny that the WWE is just picking up on that now. Apparently they sent him home, ordering him to drop weight before returning to the ring again...even though he's been enormously obese for more than a decade.

Also, there are have been serious internal discussions over the past few weeks about holding WrestleMania 2010 in...Mexico.

 

Probably because for the first time, they've seen him with his shirt off.

WWE Title match: Triple H d. Rey Mysterio, title vs. mask match

 

With the event's major feud revolving around DX vs. the returning lWo.

Because the WWE could use a healthy dose of El Dandy, La Parka, and Hector Garza.

 

Who are you to doubt El Dandy?

 

Can't everyone use a little more La Parka in their lives?

 

I heard recently that he had a case of pneumonia. I don't recall him in the WM24 battle royal so he's been out awhile now.
