When Vince called the first person and his ringtone, "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley, played, I thought for sure this contest was a hoax. It turned out to be a joke on Vince, Haas (are he and Jackie Gayda having issues after the marriage and baby 'cause that was a serious liplock with Maria), Hall and Murdoch. You just knew Mae Young would be in that segment with Haas, too.

If the Rick Astley song wasn't planned by the WWE, whoever came up with the idea is probably kicking themselves right now, becasue their little prank cost them 200 grand.

No it didn't ... that person got the money. He called the number back and the same ringtone came up.

Somewhere Rick Astley is wondering why he got another song royalty check in the mail.

My bad. See, the segment was so unwatchable, I stopped paying attention.

  6. So Bryan Danielson worked a dark match last night before RAW. Beat Lance Cade with Cattle Mutilation. I really hope Danielson stays in ROH, but I don't blame him if he takes WWE money. But I would hate to see how much WWE would change Danielson's style.

Meltzer's update says Danielson is working in Mexico City for the summer and will continue with ROH (and he also does stuff for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla in Los Angeles area). Beating Cade, a contracted wrestler, probably raises a few eyebrows as to his future.

  9. I can't really describe it, but it's a submission move.

  10. Here he is doing it to CM Punk.

Apparently, Danielson wrestled Cena in 2003.

And apparently, Cena used to not be so boring in the ring.
