The faces were heelish last night -- Batista and Kane both had it last night.

Todd Martin mentioned James at the end of his Raw recap at wrestlingobserverf4wonline.com here

Todd and I exchanged e-mails about James within the last few days. He and James attended shows together and Todd introduced James to Dave Meltzer at one of the UFC shows in Vegas. Meltzer was nice enough to include a brief mention of James in one of his updates last week.

Thanks for bringing Todd's mention to my attention MM. I will be sure to thank Todd via e-mail.

Twice, actually. Once on Friday and then a link to the Press-Telegram story on Saturday. It was even in the Saturday news update headline.

Loved the beginning of Raw. It reminded me of the old ECW, where you would get three different feuds in one 20 minute segment. I was worried that they were going to take the belt off Punk at the end of the show (shades of Jericho's first title 'win' over HHH that 'didn't really happen').

What they should do with DiBiase/Rhodes is have Dusty come out to talk sense into his son, only to have the two youngsters and Ted Sr. beat him down. It would also be cool to see a Sapphire reference.

Something bothering me a little bit is they refer to him as Ted DiBiase. I understand they drop the Jr. part for Chavo Guerrero and Rey Mysterio because their fathers didn't log in time in modern WWE first (Chavo's dad of course came in later, and they went with the somewhat clever Chavo Classic since his son had already established the name for WWE viewers). But there's already a Ted DiBiase -- The Million Dollar Man. Make the kid take on a derivative (Tedi? Teddy? Jr.?)

I think after Dusty would get the beatdown, the young ones would then beat up on Ted Sr., too. When Orton returns, I definitely think Orton, DiBiase and Rhodes will be grouped together.

Then all they need is a big man/enforcer to round out the group. TJ Wilson?

It's gotta be Batista ... Punk wouldn't be champ today if it wasn't for him. I was actually surprised we didn't see him at the end of Raw.

That's why I was surprised Cena came out with Cryme Tyme.

I just don't understand why he couldn't have rounded up Batista and Kane to take out the cronies.

I don't understand either, but it was kind of nice to see some new players in the main event. Factions were my favorite part about the Attitude era, so I'd like to see some more of them ... Cena and Cryme Tyme could be interesting.
