2008 Running Pro Wrestling Thread

Stole my thunder, Gutter. I also think Cena and Cryme Tyme would make a very interesting group, especially if they turned (doubtful) Cena heel.

Last night was one of the better Raws they've had in awhile. I love the fact that there's new blood with the gold. I was skeptical about Punk with the belt, but I'm hoping he gets a solid run with it before Orton comes in takes it.

 

I have to admit, the WWE is getting better. Not as good as the Attitude days, but putting the belt on Punk was a great move for a roster (both sides) that needed some new blood at the top.

Now if they would just drop Mark Henry.

 

Amen to that.

 

He'll get a month-long reign at the top of the junior-varsity show and then drop the strap to an up-and-comer.

Here's an idea. GIVE THE STRAP TO TOMMY DREAMER! Let him try to make it a legit title instead of the B-League strap. It can happen. </end fanboilooserrant>

Dreamer is nothing more than a jobber to people like Henry, who don't deserve to hold the ECW f'n title.

 

Even the old ECW only put the strap on Dreamer for five minutes, T.

 

Yes, I know tis but a pipe dream. Did I ever tell you about the time I was assaulted with my own sign by Bubba Ray Dudley at an ECW Tampa house show though?

Man, those were the glory days of ECW.

Yeah, I know. Tommy never was great at cutting a live promo. He did have great taped segments though.

 

Twice in two nights. Once in Tampa. Then I brought the same sign "Bubba Ray = Shit Heel" to the Kissimmee Show the next night. He did the same thing.

Third time not so lucky. I wasn't holding the sign that read "Bubba Ray Hides Behind Atlas Security", my brother was. But Ol' Bubba Ray recognized me (in the front row too) and spat in my face and then pie faced me. My glasses went three rows back. I didn't give in to the temptation to accost him and thus having me lose my front row seat because that's what Bubba Ray was known for at house shows. But man, that was an intense encounter.

Oh, I'm also on the Guilty As Charged PPV a few times when Taz won the strap from Shane Douglas in Kissimmee
