Hey, I even made Tommy "Wild Fire" Rich stutter when he attempted to clown on me when he was a member of the F.B.I.

Oh, and Taz was thrown on top of me and my friends during a match with Tajiri. HIs words to us, just before he was Asai Moonsaulted upon over the railing by Tajiri was

    "MOVE BROTHER!"

    We did.

  2. Went to an ECW TV taping in Richmond toward the end of their run. Sandman's entrance live was amazing.

Is it me or does Santino look a lot like Jim Rome?

    Nice job TD.

That reminds me of my first ECW experience. The boys came down here for a show at a little ballroom inside of a hotel. My best friend and I got front-row seats and experienced the best live show we've ever seen.

Balls Mahoney and the Sandman put on a nice brawl right in front of us, complete with blood splattering all over. The best part was Sandman is beating Balls down and then stops, grabs my beer, toasts my friend and tosses it into Balls' face. It was worth the $5 I had to spend to get another to be so close to the action.

Oh, and did I mention Dawn Marie happened to be standing on our side of the ring and the view, my friends, was quite breathtaking.

Oh yeah, and there was the sommersault by Sabu off the top rope onto a burning table right next to us.

Man, if I could find the tape of that show, I'd buy it.

If you remember the date of the event, RF Video might have it. They frequently taped Fan Cams of ECW house shows. I have three or four myself.

Think I have a ticket at home. I'll have to check it out. Thanks.

Tommy, what shows do you have?

I may have to see if I can borrow one some of these days.

They are in storage right now, the tapes that is. But I have several DVDs. The tapes are from around 1999-2001 era and show an incredibly young and dapper looking Tommy_D (me not the wrestler) who marks out to every entrance song that comes up, just about.

I was at the show when the Blue Meanie got called up to the WWE and didn't show, leaving Nova to answer chants of "Where's Blue Meanie"

When did he get "called up?"

Reminds me of carrying Sandman's baggage after an Illinois house show. Alfonso was his traveling partner and was a bit overwhelmed by the bags and accommodations.

Sandman had, if I recall correctly: One duffel bag, medium size. One styrofoam cooler, containing orange juice, vodka and Budweiser cans.

ECW decided to give us all free passes to the Peoria show (TNN taping) the next night. I seem to remember Billy Corgan El-Kabonging someone at the beginning of the show.

    Pretty damned good weekend.

I talked to someone who went to the ECW/Smackdown doubleheader last night. She and her family loved every minute of it. Bought a $22 ticket which wasn't up close but was good enough to see the action (and you've got the big screen to get the details you miss). They got three hours of action. That's an hour less than any of the live shows.

Oh, and prepare for a big shocker in the Edge-Vickie drama Friday.
