I love the Paul Bearer character.

I never watched Smackdown when he was champ for a year on there but was it an unbearable reign for him? Or were there moments of goodness?

 

For me, JBL has been an instant channel changer only since his return.

He was obnoxious before, but in a way that heels are supposed to be. Now he just draws the wrong kind of heat.

I liked him better with Farooq in the APA.

 

The APA was a DAMN solid gimmick.

 

I gotta admit, the administration (or whatever the fuck they called it) was a pretty good gimmick.

Sad thing is, it got old real quick and JBL quit grabbing my attention as champion.

And I hate it that he's back in the title picture now. He's fucking past his prime and needs to go back into commentating. Or at least be a manager for someone.

 

JBL isn't very good on his own. He needs a faction to back him.

 

I actually like that music for JBL. For him, going with a "Dallas" like theme seems perfect.

 

Agreed. I don't think JBL could have any more appropriate music than the "Dallas" -type theme.

 

Third it. The MOOOOOOOOOOOOOO makes it. And the JBL character has glimses of greatness. He sort of looks like a younger Vince. He could make a credible heel commish, except I really wish they'd give that a rest for a while.
