Yeah, no problem with his theme here, either.

My favorite heel theme, however...apologies if this is a repost...Santino Marella. From the opening note of the singer, you just want to punch someone in the everything.

love santino's theme. one of my favorites. my all-time fave, though? million dollar man. from the cackle to the "everyone has a price" line, the song rules.

Man, I love Santino's theme. One of the best themes of all time. It sounds kind of old school, which is fitting for such a tremendous throwback character of sorts. The beginning draws instant jeers.

And while browsing themes on youtube, Christian's old WWE opera theme (Christian! Christian! At last, you're on your own!) kicked ass. Also, really think JBL's theme fits him well. . .the moo's are hilarious. As far as he goes, he's a good heel but a terrible in-ring worker.

Worst theme = Rey Mysterio. It's retarded.

i can only think of a few wrestlers whose themes havent changed much over the last decade or so: shawn michaels and flair. i would put taker in that, but he had a different variation when he was in the corporation and used american badass in his biker gimmick. trips could fall into that category, but his theme has been slightly tweaked over the years.

Not sure what it was on Smackdown, but Cena's hasn't changed in the years he's been on Raw. I always liked that theme, too. Just that quick little build-up, and the main part of the music hits, and it's got some energy to it. All good traits of a good entrance.

  6. I heartily agree. I used to imitate Ted DiBiase's cackle pretty good until I got about to be about 21...then it just sounded like a opossum trying to secure a hot date.

JBL was pretty entertaining during his Smackdown run as champ, but he's clearly past his prime. He was doing a great job as a broadcaster (loved his 'Damn You Jeff Hardy, Damn You to Hell!" line from MITB at Wrestlemania two years ago)) and they should have kept him behind the table (or whatever Mike Adamle calls it).

Other favorite entrace themes in no particular order:
Kane's original with the organ theme (don't like the one today)
    Flair's (of course)
Bad Street USA (great in the 80s, sounds cheesy now)
    DiBiase's entrance
    Davey Boy Smith's Rule Britannia
    The Rock's

Say what you will about Goldberg, but his music and entrance set the right tone.

Edge has a good history of solid songs; the current one is great, as was the Rob Zombie song he was using as a face (hard to think of Edge as a face, isn't it?)

I liked Orton's HEY song, but it was suited more for a guy who got turned on by his teammates than a top heel

Austin's, of course, hit all the high notes, and the nWo's fit the bill before it grew to 3,458 members and it was played every segment.

As far as themes go, I've loved every incarnation of what Edge has used. All of them have been perfect.

Agreed on Goldberg's theme - not the tacky knock-off that he used in WWE - as how it can set a character. Same with Austin, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, even people like Cena and Cryme Tyme. Some themes, though, are just too bland to make sense.

As far as whole entrances, I still marvel at The Brood.

(ahem) The nWo had 3,460 members. Don't forget Chono and Tenzan.

Also, am I alone in absolutely loving the current Raw theme by Papa Roach?

  11. Favorite themes:

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin - the theme I want when I go up to bat in heaven.
The original "Midnight Express" - It was the theme by Giorgio Mauder (sp?) from the movie.

I love Santino's. Instant heat, as has been mentioned before.
I like Kane's theme so much I when on LimeWire and stole downloaded it onto my iTunes.
    Ric Flair's - Classic.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage - I'll always think of the Macho Man (ohhh, yeeeah!) whenever I see a graduation.
Carlito "Caribbean" Cool - I have it on my ringtone I like it so much. Jamaica Mon!
Kerry Von Erich - "Tom Sawyer" by Rush. Electric.
"Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin - How many of us could strut to the ring to ZZ Top's "Sharp Dressed Man"?
The Road Warriors - They used a longer intro to Black Sabbath's "Ironman". Never a more intimidating entrance.

  12. I like the Raw theme from my son's Smackdown! vs. Raw 2008 PS2 game. The one that starts something like, "I can't escape this hell ..."

It's called "Animal I Have Become"

    Yep, stole that one, too.
