Dreamer's just used now to get guys over ... like last night's show. He's a guy ECW fans still know and it's one way for Vince to keep sticking it to that fan base. Get their hopes up and then dash them mightily. I do, however, like T_D's storyline idea (how about putting Joey Styles with Dreamer as a manager?), but the longer WWE keeps ECW, the likelihood of that storyline happening isn't great.

I can't stand the spinner belt. I remember listening to the local morning radio show and they had Triple H on the show and they were talking about wrestling and this and that and Triple H went out to say that he can't stand the spinner belt and wishes that the WWE would of retained the same belt that guys like Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Flair, Bret Hart and all of them wore.

Styles with Dreamer would work pretty good. After all Tommy isn't the greatest mic worker. I was actually reading his wiki page last night while looking up old ECW stuff and found that he was pissed to have ever won the original ECW title. He wanted to go through his whole career without ever having won a title and that the only reason he did was because guys kept leaving. Oh well, I'd stil love to see that kind of storyline take place :D

I'd love to see YOU get over, too, but you can't even beat Jack Swagger!

Hey now, there was something in my eye! :D (didn't see the match)

Also, I think that storyline could work for any ECW veteran that was at least mid-card. Whatever happened to Shane Douglas anyway? Hell Justin Credible could work that role nicely as well. Sandman too for that matter, since he was an underachieving mic worker.

He only held the thing for about 5 minutes before Credible took it from him, IIRC...

Fact: Playing the song 'Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck' makes Tommy_Dreamer cry.

Doesn't Trips have the...um...power to change the strap? Hell, they let Cena and Edge change the WWE belt. Though I don't think it actually spun when Trips last had it IIRC...

For all the criticism that Trips deserves, he does deserve credit for respecting wrestling's past. I think he has even said that he hopes to be considered a modern-day Harley Race. And he probably wants to keep Old Goldie so that he can be seen in the same light as one of his best buds (Flair).

    Well, there's that, too.

I'm half-wondering if Trips has slowed down his push to pass Flair after all the criticism over it. It was being predicted that Trips was going to spend this year passing the belt back and forth between opponents so he could catch up, but he hasn't.

Funny thing is, Flair has actually won the belt more than 16 times, but some of them aren't official (the Jack Veneno fiasco in the Dominican Republic for instance, when Flair dropped the belt in fear for his life).
