I took a look at RAW last night to see where they were going with the angles I saw when I saw it live and I just had to think about Jeff Hardy. So he qualified for another Money in the Bank match. What death-defying stunt will he do in this MITB match? I searched YouTube and saw his leg drop onto Edge through the ladder last Wrestlemania. Maybe a Swanton off the ladder situated in the ring onto a prone Mr. Kennedy on the announce table?

There is no chance in hell Edge/Undertaker main event WrestleMania. It's still gonna be awesome though and is kind of like the Starrcade feud that was touched upon. These two have been on the same brand for almost a year now and the WWE has been especially careful not to really have them lock heads, saving it for this very WM feud. Even during the triple threat matches with Batista, Edge-Undertaker did not interact with each other very much.

I'm not too excited about the triple threat title match, but the three will likely deliver with a match of the year worthy battle in the ring. It's also tough to pick a winner in the match, which is the exact opposite of No Way Out. It's a definite possibility that any of the trio could emerge with the title.

The burying of Y2J and Jeff Hardy personafies everything that is currently wrong with the WWE. Giving TV time to this Hornswoggle garbage angle while keeping a talent like Jericho off the show is utterly ridiculous. And JBL sucks in the ring. Nobody wants to see him wrestle. He gets X-Pac heat. What a consistant bore.

I agree totally about JBL. A total joke.

I thought with Jericho popped up on the radar again that he was pretty entertaining. It's like some of these fall shows that are funny as hell, get good reviews, but are dropped two months into programming. Makes you wonder.

And the Hornswoggle thing lost its edge after the announcement. It's been boring as shit ever since. If McMahon wants some cash off that, create a relatively child-safe Hornswoggle show on the Cartoon Network.

Oh and what happened to the bogeyman?

Not only that, but there was some creepy child abuse undertones during the cage segment last night. The way Hornswoggle has been portrayed as a young child by the WWE (with an obvious lack of maturity and active imagination, since he's ahhh...short and all) is weird enough, but after he was brutally assaulted last night by Vince/JBL with helpless Finlay (protective, devastated, loving motherly figure) handcuffed to the ring ropes, I couldn't help but think back to Vince and the way his stepfather used to viciously beat on him as a child in North Carolina.

  5. RAW did a 4.0 in the ratings. I wonder how much of that had to do with Pretty Boy Floyd.

I'm sure Mayweather had something to do with it, but I think most of it comes from the curiousness of fans wondering how WM 24 was going to set up.

I'll admit when I'm wrong, so I'll come clean and say that while I think Katie Lea is hot, she's not as hot as I thought when I first saw her online. The more I see of Beth Phoenix, the more I like her, though we know how it's going to end for her now that Candice Michelle is back.

Bostonbred's take on the McMahon/Hornswoggle steel cage on Monday was spot on. I hate to see just how deep into his past VKM can/will take this show. That was more creepy than the Burchill/Lea angle.

And for the love of our eyes, someone please make JBL wear pants.....he looked like an ice cream sandwich that was sat upon.

I don't like JBL in the ring or the booth. And he's a bully in the back, so I don't like him in the locker room either.

I've loved Beth Phoenix from the first day I saw her. She's not as cute as Mickie James or Maria, but damn. Just damn. Beat me, beat me, make me write bad checks. :-*

JBL is very good as a broadcaster. He even makes Michael Cole look good, compared to the Coach, who I like better in a GM role.

As a wrestler, his 'Wrestling God' character grew on me. But it seems like he's lost a step in the ring, and his comeback and Jericho feud has not been very well explained. And since he was a former champion, I would think that he should be in the main event mix, but he's been pushed back to midcard status.

  9. I think JBL plays his role well. He is an asshole heel that everyone loves to hate. And isn't that part of what professional wrestling is all about? It's the ability to get a certain reaction out of the crowd. Yeah, he sucks as wrestler, no doubt, but being a good wrestler is not what his character is all about.

    Meltzer's update today:

--Tickets go on sale on 2/23 for WWE One Night Stand, which takes place on 6/1 at the San Diego Sports Arena. Prices are $300, $90, $60, $40 and $20. Pre sale started today at 9 a.m. with the code PPV619. Ads for the show still list Bobby Lashley as appearing.

Also, from various sites, Big Show and Floyd Mayweather will have a press conference on Monday at Staples Center to hype their WM24 match.

JBL is one of the better heels out there. I just don't want to see his pasty ass. He's solid as an announcer and probably does need to make a return with Cole in the very near future. WWE did a poor job in bringing him back....the Jericho angle was crappy at the least and to have a former champ in one of the most pathetic storylines (even for WWE) in recent memory is a slap in the face. On the upside, if you do need a heel to do a heinous act, then he's the most perfect.

Beth Phoenix probably doesn't get the "Wow" factor that most of the other Divas get, but she just does something for me that's hard to explain. The more Beth Phoenix, the better.....

That, I agree with. JBL's still excellent on the mike, but the Jericho feud seems like it's a clash of styles. I think the best way they could have booked a Jericho/JBL feud was to have JBL announce he's coming back into the ring, then have Jericho interrupt him, even doing the 'shut the hell up' schtick. They could have even had a verbal 'debate' one week on Raw. That would have explained a lot more than just JBL interfering in a title match.
