If 8 is what they have, do they even have 8 guys worthy of being in this match who aren't already tied into something? Perhaps Burke and Punk are added and Morrison and Miz? What about Noble, Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore? MVP (if Matt's not back in time)? Should Kofi Kingston be thrown in?

CM Punk, Elijah Burke, MVP, and Kofi Kingston are my guesses.

Which would leave Chavo without an opponent. Enter Foley, Mick.

  3. Mick Foley as the ECW champion? That has a nice ring to it.

I would bet there will be an ECW title match, which takes out Punk and Guerrero. My guess would be Morrison, Helms, MVP (if there's no US Title match, which would be a shame) and some wild card. I wouldn't be shocked if it's Paul Burchill. I think he will get a bit of a push, and Monday's bit with Regal opens the door for him to slide in there.

Punk in the MITB seems a lock to me. What about Carlito?

Don't think they'll use Burchill. They can't have him lose that match so quickly and have her punish him/eviscerate him/etc. yet.

As for Chavo/Punk, since Punk won the No. 1 contender's match last night (again - yawn), that would probably mean he takes the title match at WrestleMania. No?

I definitely put Kingston in this match, though. Guy's a hell of an athlete.

You mean that instead of participating in MITB, Punk should request that his title shot come at WM? I think all titles should be defended on the largest show of the year, too, but how much more exciting can a Punk-Chavo match be at this point when it has been done and done on free TV? Heck, how about a match in which MVP, Chavo and, if Jeff Hardy were to drop the IC title before Mania, a new IC champ could face off in a title vs. title vs. title match?

Same for the tag titles -- Miz/Morrison vs. Holly/Rhodes in a winner unifies the titles and they defend them on Raw, ECW and Smackdown?

Punk-Chavo does nothing for me. I don't think anyone would revolt if that match isn't on the WM card.

Tag unification is a good idea and could breath life into the division. My hunch is that it's likely going to be Carlito/Santino winning the belt. That said, pairing them with Morrison/Miz could be a very fun rivalry considering the four personalities involved.

Don't forget about Kendrick and London ... oh wait, WWE already has.

Not to mention Cade and Murdoch.

I've said it before, but what WWE needs is managers who can talk. Flair and Santino would be excellent candidates. Imagine Flair talking for a team like Haas and Benjamin (World's greatest wrestler leading the World's Greatest Tag Team. Whoooo!). Except for a few months about a year ago, when the Hardyz reunited briefly, the tag team scene has been poor for years, ever since the Dudleyz, Edge and Christian and the Hardyz all went their separate ways.

Please stop using Zs to pluralize names.

This goes for all of you.

Hit a nerve there, Embassy? The old, original ECW charm still hasn't worn off?
