    What about Taz becoming Tazz?

  2. Just finished reading Batista's book the other day. It was hard to get through because it was not written well. But he did confirm Kennedy was going to win the title when Taker went down with his torn biceps. But of course Kennedy got hurt and Edge took his place. I wonder how different things would have been had Kennedy held the title like he was supposed to.

Another couple of interesting things from the book: Batista has alway had a problem with that tricep muscle. He hurt it when he was a teen and never fully recovered. And you think he is big now, when he was a bodybuilder a lot beefier than he is now. I still think he's done roids, but he's been about the same size since the beginning, unlike Orton.

This Mayweather-Show angle is getting more ridiculous by the week.

It is bad ... and Mayweather is going to get booed all the way to Wrestlemania.

At what point did Ken Kennedy stop doing his own intro? I miss it.

And no one gets the mixed pop that Cena gets. No one. You hear the initial little-kid/lady squeals...but a fraction of a second later, the rest of the crowd comes in with boos. The mix is amazing.

I think Cena has a future in broadcasting someday, if he so chooses.

Good thing they got the cat out of the bag early with Finlay admitting he's Hornswoggle's father. I'd like to see an explanation, but I'm confident - maybe unrightly so - that it will be revealed in due time.

Not only was the Big Show/Mayweather opening segment terribly off and awkward, there was too much "via satellite" stuff tonight. Honestly, what do these guys have to do (JBL) that means that there's a storyline reason for them being away from work?

Oftentimes "via satellite" means "he's really backstage and he'll attack the other guy at the end of the show, much to everyone's surprise." Throwing in the occasional "via satellite" that doesn't end in a run-in ensures that everyone in the building won't know it's coming the next time they go there.

Plus it's an easy way to convey the "I'm too good to be in the building with you peons" vibe a quality heel must exude.

Oh, I'm certainly well-aware of that. I just think they really over-did it tonight for little to no reason. Especially that first Mayweather segment - I thought it was pre-recorded, but then there was no real lag with the interview later on.

Cena used to really piss me off. I still love that hardcore fans/smart marks hate him, and his setup move is the worst maneuver since the People's Elbow, but I can't diss the guy as much as I used to.

The Via Satellite segments were indeed overdone. I realize it's getting him a push, but the Hornswoggle nonsense with Finlay is as annoying as it's ever been. Still, though, nice new entrance music.

Turn Michaels heel or turn Jericho heel. Or both. Just do it. One of them needs a turn. Raw needs one more monster bad guy.

Have they added Mike Adamle for one 30-second segue per show? Just seems...I dunno, a bit of a waste. I'm sure I'm missing something and they're doing more with the guy. Right?

I think you're right and after WrestleMania, either HBK or Jericho will turn heel. Or Jericho might make a move to Friday nights.

Seriously, how botched is this Big Show/Mayweather angle? No Way Out was one of the best segments that I can remember, but ever since then, this has been an absolute dud. Especially how Show and Floyd were screaming over each other speaking last night. This is merely a more hyped version of Show vs. Akebono.

I love Cena. Dude is a terrific performer, gets an electric reaction, is one of the more charismatic wrestlers in the industry, is probably the nicest wrestler I've met away from the ring, and has steadily improved his wrestling to main event calibar. The triple threat feud, however, has been way too standard. This is WrestleMania, not No Mercy or something. The main event feud should be better booked than this snoozer. Still, my prediction is the match will be one of the best of the year. Cena vs. Orton at SummerSlam was top-notch, and adding Triple H is not a bad thing...much like Batista, he'll work his ass off but only when motivated. WrestleMania will bring the out the best in the three. It won't be as good as HHH vs. Benoit vs. HBK, but will be spectacular nonetheless.

Mike Adamle is awful. Seriously, he's speaking for 30 seconds and slips on almost every sentence. Can him already.

My question is, if Vince threw $20 million at Floyd, couldn't he have saved the money and given $20-$30 million to The Rock for a one-time comeback match in his home state?

WrestleMania 25 will be in Houston for all you Texans...
