Thank you (and everyone else there) for making a good match great.

  2. Up until that point, I liked Cena. But I got so caught up in the atmosphere, I turned on the guy. And to this day I still don't like him. ECW crowds have a way of opening your eyes because they are smart wrestling fans. Not that I didn't know that before that night. I had been to a couple of ECW events before. But there was just something about that night. It was awesome.

  3. Speaking of WWE, I'm in the middle of watch ROH's second PPV when Matt Sydal joined Sweet n Sour Inc. Sydal is a good worker and a pretty decent high flier, but I don't know how that is going to translate in WWE. Has he been on TV yet? I don't think he has, but I'm interested to see what direction Sydal and Colt Cabana will be on once they arrive. I'd like to see them on Smackdown.

I went the other way. I gained a lot of respect for Cena that night. He played the bad guy when he really didn't have to do it, and he played it well.

I was there for what I consider one of the best matches of the last decade -- Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit, Royal Rumble 2003. The rest of the show was mediocre-to-awful (Triple H vs. Scott Steiner was just pathetic) but Angle/Benoit saved the night with a tremendous effort from both wrestlers. Angle won, but the crowd was hot behind Benoit and gave him a standing ovation after the contest.

I'll be in Lowell for TNA Lockdown next month.

Anything event with the words "Scott Steiner" in it is guaranteed to be pathetic. Good on the mic though.

The lack of response tells me no one saw last night's TNA ppv. Probably a good thing.

Dave Meltzer gave it a pretty good review, but even though it wasn't far from where I live, I wasn't interested in going. But he gave everything except the scaffold match a good mark, and he really liked the women's three-way match.

I watched some streaming of it on-line, and was my first time watching TNA. Saw the women's title match where that big Kong lady beat the crap out of all the girls to retain her title. Then the next match was Team 3d (aka the Dudleys) versus Curry + Sharkboy. After seeing Curryman + Sharkboy's entranced I stopped watching it. Is this really supposed to be WWE's top competitor?

Unfortunatly, yes. The talent in TNA is definitely there, but the booking is beyond awful.

Shark Boy + Curry Man = worst gimmick in years. I do love me some Awesome Kong though, she's terrific.

The Curry Man gimmick is internet legendary. Better Christopher Daniels be doing that instead of his faux cult leader gimmick he's beaten into the ground.

TNA seriously needs to get rid of Vince Russo.

As long as the greatest wrestler of this generation is running around in his Spee-dos and doing stupid angles with his wife "marrying" A.J. Styles and all that shit, TNA will continue to suck donkey balls.

Serious wrestlers/workers should stick to serious angles - not this bullshit.

What a fucking match between Jericho and Hardy again. Holy shit.

I don't care what matches are on the card tonight ... that's the match of the night in my book.
