    Wow. That. Sucked.

Loved Barry Windham, so to see him get put into a lame-assed angle was weak (although Jillian Hall was a bit smoking). I Tivo'ed the show and (no shit) went through it in 20 minutes. 15 of that was for Hardy-Jericho.

For three hours three weeks before the biggest event of the year, this show was Russo-eque. The only good thing was seeing the Briscos get induced to the Hall.

WWE performer suspended for drug policy violation
    March 11, 2008
STAMFORD, Conn. - World Wrestling Entertainment has suspended one of its most popular performers for a second violation of the company's drug policy.

Stamford-based WWE spokesman Gary Davis says wrestler Jeff Hardy, who has headlined numerous live and pay-per-view events, has been suspended for 60 days. He would not say what drugs were involved.

Davis says there have been about 30 suspensions under the WWE substance abuse and drug testing policy begun last year, which requires tests for steroids and other drugs.

A wrestler faces a 30-day suspension without pay for a first violation, a 60-day suspension for a second violation and firing for a third violation. Performers are tested at least four times per year.

Last August, WWE suspended 10 wrestlers for violations of its drug testing policy involve drug purchases, mostly human growth hormones.

That explains plenty about Jericho winning the belt. Talk about squandering a golden opportunity.....

Holy fuck. That'll set him back to Kennedy ... Kennedy ... land.

Of course, getting suspended and acting like an immature bitch backstage got Randy Orton the title ... so who knows?

Good to see, at least, that McMahon is sticking by his word of naming the guys who flunk drug tests.

Think he would do the same if it was his son-in-law?

    Uh....no.

Is it me or does anyone else think that with the two live sits that Mayweather has appeared (Anaheim, Milwaukee) that perhaps the WWE is setting him up to be the heel here? Neither place is conducive to having an arrogant, young black man making it rain and running smack.

That said, I see Show beating the hell out of him.

Huge blow for the WWE. Losing Hardy for 60 days sucks. He always has some top-notch WrestleMania moments, including last year's ladder leap onto Edge. And you could argue that he gets the top face reaction on Raw.

Last night's Raw was a mixed bag. You had that fantastic Jericho/Hardy match and a really strong Big Show/Mayweather segment that included a very legit brawl on the outside of the ring. They seem to finally be embracing Show as the face in this feud...Mayweather is very much hated by a large segment of boxing fans, so the WWE had to know what they were getting themselves into. He's just not very likeable and Show played the face card well without shoving it down the throats of fans. I'm enjoying the Flair/HBK feud and Michaels was damn funny last night. Solid Edge/CM Punk match.

On the other hand, that Jillian Hall segment was nothing short of pathetic. The main event had a been there, done that feel about it. The buildup to the triple threat main event is boring as shit, and I enjoyed last year's Cena/HBK WM buildup so much more, with the mind games being played on a weekly basis between the then-tag champs. I guess it's hard to book a hot feud for a Triple Threat match? Also, there is no excuse for no Undertaker/Edge interaction.

Seems to me like this year's WrestleMania has a stronger card, but the build up has been disappointing to say the least.

  11. Punk/Edge had some good chemistry. I would like to see them explore that some more at some point. Funny watching Punk wrestle now after watching KENTA in a couple of ROH matches. Punk uses a similar style to KENTA, who also uses the GTS as his finisher.

Hardy's an idiot. I thought there had to be something more to last night's title change. Even though it's the IC belt, title changes like that don't happen on TV often. And putting the belt on Jericho does nothing for him. He's had it nearly 10 times.

I thought about adjusting my TV colors when Jillian came out. She's orange.

Also, the idea of WrestleMania Rewind was lame because half of the shit they put on started with "This is supposed to be WrestleMania Rewind, but ..." and then went into something completely different.

The Maria stuff is crap as well. Yes, we all want to see her tits, but don't bury the legit women wrestlers like Beth and Mickie.

I understand that you have to keep your WHC hot for the big PPV, but why continue to bury Punk?

Show comes off as the face. We've all known it. A large part of the wrestling demographic is not going to favor a cocky black boxer getting paid millions (I don't know if $20M is true, but at least a few) for one show. (I'm sure a lot of the wrestlers hate it as well). Another positive: Show's promos have gotten better since his weight loss helped his speech impediment. For a while, he was as bad as a Khali interview.

    Uh oh, better call Brisco.
