History really is written by the winners. Damn, I wish Hart held out and never allowed his HOF induction.

King asked a question worded something like, Has the winner ever been the loser? Trip jumps at the chance to say the name 'Bret Hart.'

Trip sounds like an idiot. He's lobbying for WWE coverage in U.S. sports sections. Vince is subdued and Cena is playing the party line as expected.

Do you ever get the feeling that Vince is playing the good guy with the whole Hart relationship, and letting his son-in-law take the shots he won't publicly take?

    Wasn't Cena on there, too?

    Cena, Jericho and Show.

There's no reason to turn Cena. He may be the greatest tweener in wrestling history, drawing the most unique fan response ever. With his merchandise flying off the shelves and everyone screaming SOMETHING at him, they can leave him there and ride that wave while putting big-time faces (HHH, HBK) and heels (Cena, Orton) on either side of him. Flipping him heel could be suicidal.

    They'd put him against himself?

  8. I do think papers (in some areas anyway) are missing the boat on covering MMA. But that's another thread for another day.

MMA is slowing getting its run....I know the Houston Chronicle runs a weekly MMA column and recaps of the PPVs.

I did see the Larry King piece last night and surprised that Randy Orton wasn't there. Last I checked, he was the champ and part of the main event. I guess it's par for the course for how they've totally weakened him as the champ. Considering Orton helped carry that company in the midst of the Benoit murder and the slew of injuries that hit WWE main eventers last summers, you'd think he'd get some love. It showed at times why I respect Trips for his dedication to the industry, but at the same time showed why people regard him as an opportunistic weasel.

Prior to me having to work desk on Sunday, I had planned to watch WM24. I somehow get the feeling this is going to be nothing more than a coronation for Trips that will overshadow everything else.

Trips is an idiot. A self-centered, egotistical fucking asshole.

The only thing I find ore disheartening is Ric Flair's constant ass-kissing of the piece of shit.

Flair names his three best opponents as "Ricky Steambost" (good one), "Shawn Michaels" (I'll give him that, and "HHH" (bullshit).

No mention of Harley Race? No Terry Funk. Shit, I can name at least 10 wrestlers Flair has had feuds with that were better than HHH.

Amen to that, brother. He's a complete weasel and I've met and heard many wrestlers who have said how he has screwed countless of them out of the company, which is for many the only chance they have at providing a decent living for their family. I remember attending Raw last year during his big return last year in Boston. I was seated about seven rows back on the opposite of the camera side and held up a sign that said "TEAR THE OTHER ONE, TRIPS". He almost went after me after a painfully tacky in-ring segment with Vince and within 2 minutes of him heading backstage, security approached me and took it away.

I think he comes away on Sunday with the belt, but they should have Orton pull a win since they've made him look so weak in recent months.
