Jesus, take the knot out of your panties. Larry King ASKED A QUESTION about the planned winner of a match actually losing, equating it to the Harlem Globetrotters getting beat in a game. You don't think the Bret Hart situation is probably the most famous example ever of a different finish happening? You don't think thousands of people thought of Bret when that question was asked?

And that wasn't even the first thing HHH said. First he talked about things like that happening if a guy gets hurt in a match, and THEN he mentioned the Bret example. And it's a perfectly legitimate answer to the question.

Your indignant outrage over it is nothing short of comical. "Jesus fucking Christ. History really is written by the winners". Holy shit, get a grip.

Hey, first-time-caller-,long-time-listener. Chill. This isn't that kind of party.

You doubt HHH wasn't happy to mention the incident? He's the one who always mentions it. Check the WWE's 'What if the situation was reversed?' feature on its Web site from a few months back (if it's still up).

Do both sides (Hart and the pro-HBK/WWE side) harbor grudges to this day? Aside from Vince McMahon, yes. McMahon saw money to be made with Hart and buried the hatchet. Hart didn't want Michaels at his induction ceremony, and Trip dropped the 'We're not that stupid.' line in the feature I mentioned.

Would it be nice if the whole thing was just dropped? Frankly, yes.

Hope you're not holding out hope for a long-term Highlanders push ...

Classless move by TNA. I've talked to Robbie on a few occasions and he is one of the nicest, funniest guys in the company. They knew that putting him on television would put his future with the WWE at risk yet they still did it.

I agree with you on TNA's classlessness, boston, but if the WWE guys were told to not go to Impact, then Robbie's as much to blame.

  6. I'm a newbie, too. But I can't stop laughing at this rim shot. ;D

Agreed, but I think WWE's rule on TNA is ridiculous as well. Another example of Vince's incredibly misdirected paranoia. Competition would be good for the business anyway and TNA is hardly a blip on the national scene.

They are in Orlando for WM. That's TNA country and it was a huge live show. Robbie has nothing to do and he's a huge wrestling fan. He's been off television forever, probably won't do any autograph sessions or promotional activities this weekend, yet will be in the area because, well, it's WrestleMania weekend and they all have to be. He bought a ticket to watch his good friend Johnny Devine in a match against Alex Shelley. I don't see anything wrong with that, but I agree that sometimes you have to follow company guidelines, no matter how asinine.

"A source close to Leonard Ellerbe, Floyd Mayweather's manager, says that WWE has a major surprise for everyone at WrestleMania.

While Ellerbe legally prohibited from revealing the surprise, he did give enough information to make things interesting. Ellerbe told the source, "The match will shock the world and will have a swerve nobody will see coming."

    Let the speculation begin...

Floyd Mayweather is really a white woman?

Because knowing wrestling fans, nothing else would shock them at this point. We'll guess at run-ins from everyone from Matt Hardy to Brock Lesnar to Oscar de la Hoya to Harvey Keitel.

My guess is he'll bust out some reasonably swank luchadore move to win the match. Either that, or he'll reanimate Owen Hart.

    For a Harvey Keitel run-in, I'd pay $50.
