South Florida and Auburn at 19 and 20 and Wisconsin at 24. Interesting. Personally, I think all are overranked.

Au revoir: Auburn (which has gone into Lord of the Flies mode), Fresno State and Oregon State (although I came close to leaving them in to spite the MWC refs).

Bonjour: Vandy (even though I still think they'll be lucky to reach 8 wins), Pitt and UNC (how many faceless, insignificant 1-loss teams can the ACC conjur up anyway?).

As of right now, according to the Sagarin rankings, they have the 126th toughest schedule in the nation. The games against Sagarin's No.15 TCU and No.14 Utah will raise that, but I think there needs to be a little bit of a bloodbath at the top for them to make enough headway so voters and computers don't jump major conference teams over them because of what will be perceived as better wins.

BYU v. Alabama in the title game? That would be a great culture clash I'd love to see.

Just the BCS? Or the BCS title game?
They'll be in a BCS bowl game if they win out. The title game, unlikely.

Now, the opposite side of that is if BYU can beat Utah and TCU big, that provides the impetus for them to jump up.

Right now, to me at least, is we're going to get an either undefeated or one-loss Big 12 champion, and undefeated or one-loss SEC champion, and maybe an undefeated Big Ten champion (Pen State), and maybe even another early one-loss and Pac-10 champion USC all in line ahead of the Cougars.

I'd fly out and watch the game with Idaho...

The memory of BYU that sticks with me is them coming within a flag of going to overtime with one of I-A's worst teams, Washington. (And now, without Locker, they may be the worst I-A team out there. I can't picture more than 500 people showing up to that Rotten Apple Cup, but that's another story.)

Maybe if BYU puts a hurting on TCU or Utah, I could change my mind. But there's no way in hell a ranked team should be one point better than the Locker-led Huskies.

    BYU>UCLA>Tennessee

I just hate when a team from a decent conference does not have a chance at the biggest prize.

And yes, road games in the Northwest are not fun. Just ask USC or Oklahoma.
