I'm not trying to influence shit. I'm just promoting discussion. If you're going to vote, why wouldn't you want to debate/defend it?

I vote, but I'm not interested in debate this year. That's why I don't publicize my vote.

Dork boy outsider was rather harsh... (and if it means getting ballots quicker, I'll take all the help I can get)...

Here's my ballot for the week ...

    1. Texas
    2. USC
    3. Penn State
    4. Alabama
    5. Oklahoma
    6. Florida
    7. Georgia
    8. LSU
    9. Missouri
    10. BYU
    11. Utah
    12. Oklahoma State
    13. Ohio State
    14. Kansas
    15. Texas Tech
    16. Virginia Tech
    17. Boise State
    18. Michigan State
    19. Tulsa
    20. Vanderbilt
    21. Wake Forest
    22. South Florida
    23. North Carolina
    24. TCU
    25. Pittsburgh

Welcome: No. 23 North Carolina, No. 24 TCU, No. 25 Pittsburgh
    You suck: ex-No. 18 Illinois, ex-No. 24 Auburn, ex-No. 25 Wisconsin
    Last team out: Minnesota
Simmering: (no particular order) Cincinnati, Ball State, Connecticut, Northwestern, Notre Dame, California, Arizona, Oregon, Georgia Tech, Florida State, Boston College, Minnesota, Kentucky, South Carolina, Navy, Fresno State, Western Michigan, West Virginia.

"Leapfrogged": (winning teams that leapfrogged other winning teams from the previous week's poll)

-- Penn State over Alabama (I'm in Three Bags Full's camp on 'Bama, I don't trust them. Besides, Penn State has more impressive victories and the Tide were idle this weekend)

-- Michigan State over Tulsa (I like the Golden Hurricane, but Sparty's played a better schedule)

-- Wake Forest over South Florida (because the Bulls were idle and those two teams are pretty even in the grand scheme of things).

Surprisingly, the carnage in my top 5 from last week allowed Texas to slip right into the No. 1 slot without any leapfrogging.

BYH Memorial Fraud Alert: Alabama and Texas Tech are weekly favorites here. Guns Up nearly went tits up against the Huskers. C'mon Texas Tech, you just know the ass-whipping is coming.

I am also wary of Georgia, LSU, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Michigan State, Wake Forest, South Florida and the always fraud-rich Pitt Panthers.

My poll, with some reasoning. I had a really tough time this week...

    1. Texas 5 – very impressive win over my old No. 1
    2. Penn State 6 -- thought the W validated them
    3. Bammy 2 -- don't like to penalize a non-player, but I’d take the others to win right now.
    4. Oklahoma 1 -- thought they got screwed on a few calls and that they’re still a great team.
    5. BYU 7 -- They keep winning, they’ll keep sneaking up. I am looking forward to some of these games to get a better handle on them.
    6. USC 9 -- A talented team that I’m more and more convinced had a hiccup for whatever reason.
    7. Florida NR -- ummm…sorry about that one. I fail for not realizing I had left them out last week.
    8. Texas Tech 8 -- not penalizing them for the win, but I’m not moving them up, either.
    9. Oklahoma State 16 -- Good win for The Man. Really impressed with the RB Hunter.
    10. Mizzou 3 -- Okie St. was better than I thought they were. A chance to redeem themselves next weekend.
    11. Georgia 11
    12. Utah 12
    13. Ohio St. 14
    14. Kansas 15
    15. Boise St. 13
    16. Virginia Tech 17
    17. North Carolina 19
    18. LSU 4
    19. Ball State 21
    20. Pitt 22
    21. South Florida 18
    22. Wake Forest 23
    23. Tulsa 24
    24. South Florida 18
    25. Vandy 11
