    Could not post rationale last week, here's this week's:

    1-5: Texas, Alabama, Penn State, Oklahoma, USC. Unchanged.
    6-10: Florida, Oklahoma State, Georgia, Ohio State, LSU. Watching Pryor and Wells, I considered putting the Buckeyes right behind Southern Cal. With those two, the Buckeyes might be as good as anyone else. Plus, after watching Texas Tech against Texas A&M, I still don't think the Red Raiders deserve to be Top 10.
    11-15: Texas Tech, Utah, Boise State, Texas Christian, South Florida. Honestly, after the Broncos, I had no idea what I was going to do. I didn't have the Horned Frogs in my Top 25 last week, but after really sitting down and looking at it, their resume is better than anyone else's.
    16-20: Kansas, Missouri, Pittsburgh, BYU, Georgia Tech. I didn't really drop the Jayhawks and the Tigers fell a few spots. I know conventional wisdom is to punish teams for losing -- especially badly -- but you can't convince me that anyone below them in the Top 25 would have done better in their two defeats than those two teams did.
    21-25: Ball State, Tulsa, Vanderbilt, Boston College, Minnesota. I know people are going to scream about Vanderbilt, but, to me, it's a joke that they are out of the poll while the likes of Florida State and Northwestern are in. Are we talking about the same Wildcats who lost by 17 at home to Michigan State? And, the Seminoles, who haven't beaten anyone? Please, the Commodores are better than the plankton at the bottom of this week's Top 25.

    Fraud-tastic trio: Take bow UNC, Va. Tech and Wake Forest. You've proven once again that ACC football is an oxymoron.
    Fresh-faced trio: TCU is welcomed back into the fold for a second time. Boston College is hopefully far enoug north to build up immunity to the ACC's fail virus. Arizona becomes the latest prop in the Pac-10's ongoing slapstick.
    You ranked who?: South Carolina was in my poll last week (No. 23) and gave a more-than-credible showing against a better LSU squad. In my heart of hearts, I truly believe they would beat Georgia Tech, Northwestern, and Ball State. So even at 5-3, I'm sticking.
