Are you referring to West Texas A&M in Canyon (D2 football, never at either D1 level; school was West Texas State) or to Texas State in San Marcos (FCS/I-AA; used to be Southwest Texas State)?

I'm working on it. I'm wallowing in the Quicksand of Mediocrity starting at about 17th. Idaho, Washington State and Washington aren't good enough to be there. Could be anybody else, really ... I've written all their names on slips of papers and I'm gonna start pulling those slips out of an old Georgia Southern helmet.

I'm not sure how anyone can be ranking a team that's currently seventh in the standings of an eight-team conference.

But hey, that's just me and others at my shop.

I despite the losses, I think South Florida's the best team in that conference, GB. Both were by less than a touchdown. Maybe Louisville deserves the spot. Maybe no Big East team deserves the spot.
