Here's my poll. Just haven't had a chance to post it on here until now:

    Previous spot in paranthesis:

    1. Texas (1); 2. Penn State (2); 3. Alabama (3); 4. Texas Tech (6); 5. Georgia (7)

Okie State and USC fall out of the top 5. USC won, but barely over a crappy Arizona team.

    6. Oklahoma ( 8 ); 7. Oklahoma State (4); 8. Florida (9); 9. USC (5); 10. Utah (10)

Couldn't punish Okie State too much and I could've moved Florida even higher. Gators may creep back into top 5 with a strong showing against UGA in the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party (take that, PC! :D).

    11. Boise State (13); 12. BYU (16); 13. Tulsa (18); 14. Ohio State (11); 15. Ball State (19); 16. TCU (20); 17. North Carolina (25); 18. Missouri (24); 19. LSU (14); 20. South Florida (12)

The second-toughest section to fill out. Didn't know how far to drop LSU and USF, Thought about dropping the latter out completely, but I had them at No. 12 the week before, so I didn't think it would be warranted (at least yet).

    21. Florida State (UNR); 22. Virginia (UNR); 23. West Virginia (UNR); 24. Minnesota (UNR); 25. Oregon (UNR)

The toughest slots to fill out. I finally caved in and put the Fightin' Bowdens in. UVA, Oregon and By God make re-debuts, while Minny is a first-timer.

But, the five losses...four were to ranked teams.

    Whoop de doo.

I respect you, dude, a team who's two games under .500 doesn't deserve to be in.

If it were USC or tOSU in that situation, I seriously doubt you would include them in your poll.

I find it interesting that Oklahoma and Okie State are very close in a lot of people's polls but Oklahoma is ahead, considering they lost by 10 at a neutral site but OSU lost by four at Texas

I'm confused then. Wouldn't a four-point loss on the road be more impressive than a 10-point loss at a nuetral site?

Oklahoma did beat an 8-1 TCU team 35-10 in its non-conference schedule, not to mention a 5-2 Cincy team 52-26. Oklahoma State beat a two-loss Troy 55-24 and that's about it. In fact, it's a surprise the Pokes "only" beat Washington State 39-13 to open the season, considering Wazzu has given up 60-plus points three of its past four games and four times overall this season.

I can't speak for everyone else, but if you're looking for a reason the Sooners are ranked higher than the Cowboys despite the scores against Texas, that's mine. I'm going with the full body of work as opposed to that one game.

Ack, sorry Ky. I see where the confusion is. I was thinking faster than I was typing and made my original post unclear.
I was trying to say that picking teams based on who they lose too (as was the reasoning given by some to pick Troy) is flawed, because anybody can lose to a ranked team. Picking teams should be based cause any one can lose to ranked teams. (thus the Tennessee and Kansas examples: and if I'm picking teams based on who they lose to, then I'm putting in Tennessee and putting back in Kansas)

Cuz trust me, Tennessee ain't gonna be considered for my poll.

No one voted for Tennessee. It's a conversation gone wrong.
