Penn State won both. They've won all their games. There's no discussion until Penn State loses one.

texas isn't top ranked any longer. doesn't make oklahoma's loss look all that great now.

Would you rather a team have a loss to a top five team or an unranked one on the resume?

Well, if you feel that strongly about it, say so in your vote in this week's poll.

Texas' loss came in the final second of an away game against a team that is now ranked No. 2. They were poised to win the game up until the last two or three plays. Can't say that about USC at Oregon State.

They weren't poised to win the game up until the last three plays... that's nonsense. They were behind the whole game until their last series. They never once led when Texas Tech finished a drive.

I may be confusing a game, but I've got in my mind what would have been a 40-plus yard field goal attempt with 8 seconds and the dropped interception before that. The first three quarters aside, they were leading up until the last second of the game. And if you want to count the first three quarters, you have to give them credit for coming back.

In other words, get the fuck out. Thanks. Sorry my rational, civilized debate is offending you.

And truth be told, Texas dropped two interceptions on the final drive that would have sealed the win -- one the play before the touchdown.
