I personally don't hold that opinion, but yes I could see the logic in someone saying one of those teams is better than Bama and PSU. If Texas got to spread their previous four games out over a two-month stretch, they'd likely be undefeated still.

I'm going to come out and say that I don't get all squishy in the pants when I think of Penn State OR Alabama. That's why neither team made the top of my poll.
For Penn State, they need to beat somebody good (and I'm sorry, but Ohio State doesn't count).
For Alabama, they need to beat somebody other than Georgia and do it convincingly (beating Arkansas St. by only 35 is just silly).
Until that happens, they will hover in the 4-7 range. Alabama can take that top spot if they win HUGE at LSU this week, but a 7-point win won't cut it if Florida can beat the same team by double digits.
As for Penn State, their chance for a statement win went out the window already. They won at Ohio State? Wow, let's hitch up the wagons and haul another Big 10 team to the National Championship game to just get pwned by a Big 12/SEC juggernaut for a third straight year.

If Ohio State's two-year losing streak has taught us anything else, and it hasn't, it's that Big 10 schools should stick to girl's sports like hot oil wrestling, foxy boxing and such and such. [/homer simpson]

Rant over, you may chuck your stones in this general direction now.

When Alabama loses, USC will move into my No. 1 slot, with Florida close behind.

And my answer to those who whine about it will be: Because it's my vote, and that's how I perceive it based on the games I have seen, and the season's developments so far, taking every single game by the contenders into account. You can feel free to vote however YOU want, and be content in the fact that you won't hear any pissing from me demanding that you justify yourself.

Hot oil wrestling and foxy boxy in the Big ten? Are you nuts? Even the MAC has hotter chicks.

Do you even have a vote in this poll?

If not, I would suggest to everyone we don't let anyone without a vote post on this thread.

This isn't a First Amendment right, ya know.
