Stagger how did Michigan do in the 2007, 2004, 1990, 1979, 1977 and 1970 Rose Bowls when they played USC?

I count six losses there. So how are they 4-4 all-time against USC?

Not sure, I copied that out of the Michigan media guide. Maybe they only count regular season games? But that wouldn't be right, since I don't know that Michigan and USC play in the regular season ever.

So they are 52-30 all-time against the Pac-10. I'm guessing they are better against the Big 10.

It's the mystery of college football. Some programs count bowl games in their team and career statistics, some don't.

Slappy, your SoCon education made me go back and look at some of the "old" conferences. Remember that basketball power conference the Metro? How about the Great Midwest?

It's amazing how much the landscape of college athletics has changed in just 20 years. So many new conference alignments. So many defunct conferences.

Ha! The Metro with Louisville and Denny Crum. They always won that thing.

With Florida State, South Carolina and Virginia Tech in the same conference. Quite an assortment.

1979 was not a loss. It was a robbery.
