    My real Top 5:

    1. Texas Tech
    2. Texas
    3. Oklahoma
    4. Alabama
    5. USC

I't still a mess beyond that. I even at one point looked at Rice to see if they were Top 25 worthy. It was a brief look. But there are some crappy teams out there.

1-5: Texas Tech, Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, Florida: Top two stay the same. No way Oklahoma is ahead of Texas, with a head-to-head loss. Gators get next spot. Yes, their one loss is worse than the Trojans', but they've been killing people since then, including two teams in the top six when they met.
6-10: USC, Penn State, Ohio State, Utah, Boise State. I know some people will scream about the Buckeyes, but too bad. With Pryor at QB and a healthy Wells at RB -- as in, right now -- they are better than Utah, Boise State or anyone else below them.
11-15: Oklahoma State, TCU, Missouri, North Carolina, Georgia. Did not drop Horned Frogs at all. Tight loss on road against unbeaten team does not deserve a fall to 18th or whatever.
16-20: LSU, Ball State, BYU, Michigan State, Florida State. I know Tigers have three losses. But no one below them is better than they are.
21-25: Cincinnati, Oregon State, California, Virginia Tech, Air Force. As usual, it's potluck at the bottom. But I'm not voting for a team that can't beat Bowling Green or Rutgers at home (Pittsburgh). I'm not voting for some 8-1 fraud that gets killed by Arkansas (Tulsa). Seriously, how can that team be in the Top 25? The Golden Hurricane this year and Hawaii last year really poison me against the likes of the directional Michigans. Thought about South Carolina, but gave the vote to the Falcons, with BYU and TCU up next.
