27th in AP poll, 26th in coaches poll and 25 in BCS. Granted, I could have dropped them further b/c of the loss, but it's not like Cincy beat them 43-0 or anything. And the bottom 7-8 is a mess anyway. Pick your poison: BC, Michigan State, West Virginia, Florida State? All more or less interchangeable.

Because of that whole thing about how Oklahoma could have scored 100 on Tech's defense if they'd left the throttle open. I think if they play this week, Mizzou beats Tech. That's why Mizzou's ahead.

Not so sure about that, and I've watched them all season. Tech crushed Okie State, who beat Mizzou at home. They also beat Texas, who destroyed the Tigers. Mizzou, bless them, hasn't really beaten anybody this season...just took care of who they should have.

Admittedly, the whole Tech-OU pimp slap probably freaked me out more than it should have. I still think Mizzou beats Tech if they play this week.

That's kind of how I do my poll anyway. If you're 15th, I don't think you beat 14, 13, 12, 11, etc., but I think you beat 16, 17, 18, 19, etc., if you play this week. Nothing more than an opinion, and thankfully only a small part of the larger Slappy-led consensus.
