Go after me all you want. I don't care.

I'm just sayin' there's no reason for Doc to pounce on KY because you have a history of criticizing people's picks. Some people, like me, don't care, others do care.

You consider what I did to be pouncing?

All I was pointing out was that KY had a $50 reaction to Angola's 10 cent post.

He threw a temper tantrum and said fuck at least a half-dozen times. Given who he was talking to, was that likely to calm the situation or exacerbate it?

That's all my point was. I didn't call KY any names.

Actually, it was only three times.

I hear you, but go back into the pages and read some of this thread. This isn't an isolated thing with Angola.

Someone will state they intend to vote Texas No. 1 (or whatever is tripping Angola's trigger on a given week) and he'll jump out of the bushes on the ambush.

Like I said, I don't care if those barbs come my way, I'll respond to it or I won't, I feel no need to defend my poll to anyone who goes on the attack if I don't feel like it. But just because I feel that way doesn't mean everyone else does. I think KY was just responding in kind is all.

i still don't think texas should be higher than no. 4 and possibly no. 5, by the way.

To me, Angola! seems the west coast counterpoint to PaperDragon. Where you have one, you need the other. And they're not the only two who enjoy belittling every other poll that gets posted here.

I'd prefer it if people could post picks and have them discussed instead of being called out for disagreeing with The Illuminati who seems to have this whole college football thing figured out. But that's not our way.

Texas will probably be my No. 3. Behind USC (yes, PaperDragon, I know . . . FANBOIY!!!!!) and the BCS title game winner, which I expect will be Florida. And ahead of Utah, whose big validating win was against an Alabama team many felt was never THAT good to begin with.

I like USC a lot. The only thing I struggle with is that their two best victories are against teams from the Big 10 (1-6 in bowl games) that might not finish the season ranked in the top 10. Utah, on the other hand, will almost certainly have two top-10 victories on its resume when the final poll come out.

While Penn State-USC was a nice, classic matchup, in hindsight, it probably would have been better to let JoePa whip up on Oregon State a second time while Texas played USC. Then again, either way, it's one good game, one blowout and two teams claiming they're No. 1, so I guess it probably wouldn't have made any difference.

Yes. But then again, with the one-word response, I have no clue what you're saying no to -- my comments on Utah, my comments on USC, my comments on the Fiesta Bowl, my comments on the Big 10, all of the things I wrote about?

I mean, if "no" means "USC should be No. 1," I would love to hear an argument for a team that (when the final poll comes out) might not finish with a top-10 victory to its name. Utah has Alabama and TCU, Florida has Alabama, Texas has Oklahoma, Oklahoma would have the Gators if it wins tomorrow night ... and USC would have Penn State and Ohio State, two teams from a conference you obviously have no respect for, which makes me wonder why you would put any weight in those wins.

Who knows, other than you, of course. But all you wrote was "no."
