Kentucky beat Middle Tennessee which last week topped Maryland in College Park. What did Maryland do this weekend? They beat #23 Cal.

Kentucky also whipped Louisville which is a TBD team.

Kentucky is not pure crap, and I think they get a nod over Clemson.

Slap, the SEC is one of the few conferences I do not have a past connection.

Are there any "Devils" in the SEC?

Three things surprised me: Arizona State stayed in the poll, Vandy didn't make the poll and UCLA got votes.

ASU didn't make my 25, but they will soon have their shot to stick in the 25.

Still holding on Vandy. ASU stayed because I don't think Florida State deserves to be in unless/until they beat Wake, and Utah's win at the Big House is looking less impressive by the week. All subject to change.

I didn't think Notre Dame would get that many and I was surprised that Clemson came back in.

You could also mention his dad suddenly getting a cushy sporting goods sales job a month into his kid's college career. But that would be gauche.

Daddy? Who was head coach at School A for his son's freshman year before getting fired, went to School B for his next two years as an assistant, then went to School C as a JV coach for his final year -- all with his son playing for him and all while living in School B's zone?
Daddy? Who quit coaching the JV in the middle of the season after his son left to take the cushy job?
Daddy? who claimed a future move to School C's zone and bypassed the requirement to have -- you know -- moved, by putting the house on the market and getting a note from the real estate agent claiming that if the utilities were shut off as required the house wouldn't sell so we need to leave them on?
Daddy? Who left his daughter in School B all the time while shopping his kid around?
Daddy? Who after said lineman's wrestling season, took the home off the market because the kid had finished his athletic seasons and it didn't matter where he lived?
    That daddy?
