    you're my boy, tommy, and you know that. but seriously ... nd and asu ... the golden boys have a shot this year, it seems. that's all I'm sayin. trust me. I suffered through last year and I've been with the Cowboys even through that one-win season (over the skins on thanksgiving, so season was salvaged anyway). I know what it's like to be a fanboi for a shitty team and I can be realistic when needed.

    and to be fair ... I've been saying that since the end of last year. you just wait. if nothing else, they'll be in the discussion.

    tom, you've got a beer bet on it. (after all, I figure we're gonna be drinkin at some point anyway, so what the hell.)

    Good job, Slappy.

    Still trying to figure out how Arizona State made it at 25, and how in tarnations did UCLA get a vote? Fess up, whoever did it.

    The other thing: Remember when Notre Dame-Michigan used to be such a huge game, and the whole country kind of got excited about it even if they didn't like either team? Kind of sad what the rivarly has devolved into.

    I am anxious to see how he does against UConn on Friday, and then more important, OU after that.
