So is Northwestern. I'm not putting them in my poll.

Since I questioned somebody else's, here are mine:

1-5: Oklahoma, Alabama, LSU, Missouri, Texas. Put Alabama ahead of LSU because the Tide clobbering at Georgia (it was 31-0 and 41-17) is better than LSU's best win, at Auburn. Tide's two most impressive wins have been on the road, and, this season, that's going to set teams apart.
6-10: Very, very hard. Penn State, USC, Florida, Auburn, Georgia. When it came time to make up my mind, I just couldn't rank Texas Tech higher than any of those last four teams. Maybe the Red Raiders will prove me wrong over the next few weeks, but their history indicates a paper tiger. The Trojans stay ahead of Florida and Georgia because, a) they were my number one and b) at least they lost on the road. The Bulldogs take the biggest drop because they just haven't looked great all season. Injuries, surprisingly tight victories, there's something wrong there.
11-15: Texas Tech, South Florida, BYU, Ohio State, Kansas. Now that Wells is back for OSU, we'll get a true idea of how good they really are/aren't.
16-20: Utah, Boise State, Vanderbilt, Wisconsin, Oregon.
21-25: Wake Forest, Illinois, Fresno State, Connecticut, Virginia Tech. Bad loss for the Demon Deacons, yes, but it happened to a lot of good teams this week. They've proven to be solid, they'll be ok in a weak ACC. I refuse to drop Illinois. Their two losses are to top six teams. Thought about Northwestern, with two decent road wins, but I want to see them against Michigan State in two weeks.

Budcrew, can honestly justify having a crappy Tennessee team in the poll?

Surely there is another handful or so teams worthy of that spot over the Vols.

Tennessee has no votes in either the AP or ESPN polls. No team with a losing record does.

    Tennessee in the top 25?

That could be getting close to losing your poll vote.

At least UConn's undefeated -- one of two undefeateds in a BCS conference -- and its last three wins are over teams from the ACC, Big 12 and Big East.

None of whom currently have a winning record. One of the weakest schedules in I-A so far.
