Although I felt for Bellande there, that jerk-off deserves a little bad poker karma for his overall ego and blowhardness.

I would not behave as he does at the table, but he's fun to watch and charismatic (even when he's annoying) unlike so many of these math geek savants. The guy I cannot stand is Humberto Brenes. I would pay money to watch one of these nutburger townie donks break his nose, pull down his pants and shove that shark up his ass. Now that would be quality TV.

  3. I'm not by any means an experienced player, but I find it amusing that the pros just don't know how to deal with the unconventional play of amateurs. If a pro played that way, he'd be heralded as an "out of the box" thinker. The hissy fits are great.

It's almost like Schoenfeld knew he was going to get beaten.

Oh well, at least he cashed for his first ever cash.

I'm pretty sure he's cashed in other years, that was his only cash this year.

As for the feeling, I'm sure everyone's had that feeling at the table when you just know it's not going to go your way, no matter the odds.

Damn, for a solid player, that's astounding.

And you know that ESPN in general and Norm Chad in particular absolutely get their collective rocks off when Hellmuth goes ballistic.

His eruption at the Internet savant (Adam something or other) playing Q-10 and catching a straight on the turn was classic. The guy didn't do anything really that wrong.

I particularly loved the Greek chorus comment from the guy who beat him with the K-10 two-pair earlier: "You just played J-4 and you're criticizing HIM?..."

    Hilarious.

Don't you know Hellmuth playing J-4 is pure genius!?! And if you play AA against him, you're just a donk who got lucky.

Honey, they re-raised me with a Queen-Ten. Can you believe it??

His act is pathetic. On several different levels. You couldn't pay me enough to be his wife or sister and have to listen to the Honey.... speeches.

Someday, when he grows up, he's going to be really embarrassed about the way he conducts himself.

Much as I'd like to believe that, I don't think so, Poin.

I think he uses his "Poker Brat" persona as a marketing tool. It was on the back of his UB pseudo hockey sweater and he knows that's what the cameras want to see: him in full meltdown over some perceived idiocy from an opponent.

Someone should splice together a video of his tantrums interspersed with John "YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS" McEnroe's tantrums. It'd make a hell of a funny clip.

His sons, however, are going to be very embarrassed when they get older and realize how immature their dad is.
