I've seen a lot of O'Dell. He's a good offensive player in junior but I don't think he has developed into the player Sudbury thought he would be after he came in as a 17-year-old relative unknown and tore it up.

Downtown vancouver is a nightmare right now, wouldn't have been fair to fans to put them through that, getting to the rink would have been awful. The trip after is because of the para olympics

Believe me, the loss is still felt here too.

OK That actually makes sense then. Forgot completely about the paralympics.

See the conspiracy theorist in me is wondering if his agent has already heard form a KHL team saying they would be willing to pony up a retarded amount of money ($120 mil over 10 years?) for his services in the off season. Would become their Bobby Hull signing, their signal to the NHL that they are more than capable at competing with them for legitimate talent, not just castoffs and renegade players. At least for the near future.
And if that happens it would be just one more reason the NHL would be stupid to pull out of the Olympics after Vancouver/Whistler.

How do you turn down a 12-year, $101 million deal?

You might do it if you think you can get just as much, or more, in a better location.

    Or if you're a douchebag.

Or you want to get the hell out of Atlanta as quickly as possible.

Wild guess here: Scott Niedermayer will be a Devil soon. His brother is already there.

Bingo. If I'm Kovalchuk, I'd rather make $7.5M a year anywhere than $8.5M in Atlanta.

Didn't make the game but Cody Hodgson was back with Brampton last night. Had two assists in a win over Erie. According to Huggy he was a huge difference maker.

Battalion play the Knights on Saturday and back home on Sunday for a game against the Soo.

Hopefully he regains his form and he can help the Canucks for the last 9 games and playoffs. Probably to much to ask but I'm sure he will be sent to the Manitoba Moose once his Junior season is done.
