Hmmmm, maybe. Not sure. It's so difficult to keep up on that sort of thing; the American media is notorious for ignoring football and making sure not to publicize it.

Actually, yes I know it's curling, but the Scotties final is going to an extra end, hell of a match so far.

No trusting Threeormore. Caps would put a few caps in the Whalercanes this year, but Carolina has solved him repeatedly in the past, including his hot streak with the Habs in '02. Capable of great moments and a few great saves, but seems to break down when a team needs him most.

Varlamov needs to be the long-term answer. Unless Anaheim has another goalie or two it would like to give away.

Yeah, really stupid of the league to promote 1 of the 2 best players in the game. They should probably just ignore him.

    Who the hell is Cookie?

NBC thinks there are four teams and two players in the entire league.

The Sunday or Saturday that NBC has a Canucks game with the brilliant Sedin twins against the kids in Colorado will be the day that I play goal for the Leafs.

The idea that the league shoves Sid and not OV down our collective throats is laughable.

After 40 years of broadcasting history, American TV still treats hockey as some sort of circus act.

NBC definitely treats the game like its viewers don't even know a puck is made from rubber.

Matt Cooke. Doc Emrick has called him that a time or two.

Grrr, I'm STILL upset that the Caps let Cooke go through FA. They addressed that mistake with the Chimera trade this season, but Cooke's absence was noticeable last year and he doesn't get nearly enough credit for helping the Caps rally through the division in the 2007-2008 season. I kind of grudgingly STILL like the guy, even if he plays for the hockey team preferred by 9 out of 10 international terrorists.

Spot on there, JJ. Guy pointed out at work the other day how many young hotties were competing in the Soo. He was right.
