Fraser's blown call on Gretzky in the Leafs/LA Campbell Conference Final in '93. It was right in front of him.

I'll take McCreary over Fraser any day.

I'm not a referee, but on that play, Crosby had just come down the middle of the ice about a second earlier and the ref - we'll say it was McCreary - probably had to guess in which corner the puck was going to end up. Could it be fair to say he simply called tails when he should have called heads?

I guess this is my East Coast-ness showing, but where the @#$@#$ did Phoenix come from? I had no idea they were playing so well. And they're doing all kind of stuff today.

I know there's a bunch of Eastern Conference snobs here, but we'll take a brief second for news from the other conference.

Andreas Lilja played his first game in more than a year on Monday, coming back from a concussion problems.

I'm a Leafs fan. I can't afford to be snobby about anything.

    And this just in.

Toskala's now a Calgary Flame. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH

Caps trade draft picks to pick up Belanger from Minnesota and Scott Walker from Carolina. Nice, subtle moves. ... Was kind of hoping the trade for Tim Thomas would go through. I still don't trust Theodore when it counts ....

But you *would* trust Tim Thomas?

I'm willing to bet the blown call will be high up in Fraser's obituary.

He had a long and mostly distinguished career, but that forever marred him in the eyes of Leafs fans.

They have a habit of complaining that the calls go against them all the time, blah blah blah.....but they have a point based on that one play that changed literally everything.

I gave up on Leaf fandom years ago but I will believe to my dying day that if Gretzky had been penalized, Toronto would have scored, won the series and then beaten Montreal in the Stanley Cup Final.

Kinda surprised that Chicago and Washington are going to go with the goalie's they've got.

    I'm with you on that.

I can't stand people whine about reffing in any sport but that was an egregious non-call.
