Yeah, that was a cheap shot by Ovechkin. I can't even defend that. Stupid play.

Bruins fans are watching every Leafs game almost as intently as we're watching Boston's games.

The Post's Tarik El-Bashir tweets: This Ovie's second boarding major/game misconduct this season. Rule book says he must sit out next game. Seeking confirmation.

Been more than half a season since the first, he's safe.

And Got Damn the Caps are explosive. What a rally.

Great rally. Score on a 4-minute PP and, as the goal goes in, there's another penalty. So it is 5-3 for a full two minutes. As it expires and players are rushing into action, they score again. And then again, THIRTEEN seconds later.
    Then in OT (Backstrom).

I don't recall a Chicago shot in the third, though I suspect there were a couple. Someone tweeted: Another Blackhawk giveway - three goal leads in the third (they gave away St. Patrick's Day hats today)

No, but they had the most and the most medal winners.

I guess I'm just wondering about elsewhere around the league, if there is the same feeling.

Oh come on JC, this is NHL justice involving one of their two biggest stars. It could just be One week ago and that would be considered in the league's eyes enough of a time lapse. I will be very surprised if he is suspended.

The loophole is interesting. It'd be fascinating to see how that works in the real world.

"Okay, the last time you killed somebody was more than a year ago, so we're going to treat this as a first offence."

It's fun to see the fanboys comparing Ovechkin to either Matt Cooke - "If the league didn't suspend Cooke, they can't suspend Ovie!!" - or Maxim Lapierre, who got four games for a recent similar hit on Scott Nichol.

It's also fun to watch Bruce Boudreau trying to excuse what his superstar did, when a few weeks ago he was screaming for the scalp of Craig Adams for, again, doing to Ovechkin what Ovechkin just did to Campbell.

Here's where it gets complicated - Adams was not suspended or even penalized for that hit.

Wonder how Craig Campbell is going to decide which precedent he should follow here - Craig Adams or Maxim Lapierre?

My feeling is that Adams was not disciplined because Ovechkin was not hurt. Not a good excuse, if you ask me - and you know you did ;) - because it was still a dangerous hit.

Lapierre did hurt Nichol, though, and now Brian Campbell is done for at least the rest of the regular season. That will have to be a factor here.
