The word was when I was around him that Reg's apartment in the flick was Bruce's. Don't know for sure. There's a St. Louis Blues poster board on the wall.

Glen Wesley's sister died on one of the 9-11 planes.

It was based on the apartment Bruce shared with Dave Hanson, but my research indicates it was actually a studio set.

Did not know that. Wow. I covered him when he played for the Bruins, way back when.
You really can do six degrees and find someone who died or had their lives drastically changed because of Sept. 11.

Brian Campbell to miss 7-8 weeks, from the Ovechkin hit.

That has to be a big hit for the Blackhawks' defense. Could be a season-ender if the Hawks don't make a long playoff run.

Loss of Campbell plus Really Crappy Goaltending will mean a very short playoff run.

The latest ISS draft rankings are out and Tyler Seguin has jumped back in front of Taylor Hall.

I have never seen Seguin play, anyone want to chime in on Seguin getting the nod over Hall, is it legit? How well do they compare?

Boarding is such a weird penalty because, like high sticking, it's a penalty of result. You can deliver the same hit to 50 guys, and the five who lose their balance on the way into the boards will result in a boarding call. It's not a bad thing - it's in there because those hits 3-6 feet from the boards can result in a broken neck, and the guy delivering the hit is ultimately responsible for that.

But if boarding can be a penalty of result, why can't headshots be? Hey, you stride into somebody, hit in the chin and knock him out with any part of your arm and it's a major. You daze him and it's a minor. The hitter has to bear responsibility for what he does to a player in a vulnerable situation, and at least two rules are already on the books using the logic (boarding, hitting from behind).

Well said. With a little tweaking I think this would work

Really? Google's not coming up with anything, and it seems like there would have been plenty of coverage, as there was for other sports figures affected by the attacks (Pitino, Andruzzi, etc.).

Seen them both play a lot. It's a coin flip for me, though I generally am not a fan of Hall (petulant, whiny, one-way players piss me off) and think in the long run Seguin will be a better player.

Put it this way- do you want a flashy winger (Pavel Bure) who may help put butts in the seats or a smart, steady centre (Joe Sakic) who can also produce points? To me that's what it comes down to.
