Calgary got hosed, plain and simple. Stajan had overstayed his welcome, Hagman was just another guy and White had a bad case of the Blue & White disease. Glad to see all of them go.

The only thing they received was cap space and they royally fucked that up by signing Stajan and trading for Kotalik.

I agree, was just trying to underline the pittance they gave up for Phaneuf. I actually celebrate how bad a job Darryl Sutter has done this year.

I'm not sure there's a funnier place on the web (certainly NHL-related) than Down Goes Brown.

Chicago broadcast said first time since 2001 that's happened in an NHL game.

And in case you didn't know where the name came from, here's Joe Bowen, who calls a fight better than anyone. Still makes me laugh

And that one on OV was from the April Fools' post. Here's another:

Florida Panthers - During boring team meeting, throw paper airplane at David Booth that hits him right in the head! Ha, he never even saw -- oh god, I think we killed him.

I had never heard the "Down Goes Brown" call, but yeah - Bowen rocks.

And the Hebsy Awards are a nice memory too. Yes, guy. :D

(It was also always hilarious when he turned "yes, guy" into "Sergei Yesguyev." ;D)

Some asshat on Sportsnet tonight called the Caps OT winner against the Bruins a "skateoff goal"

    Can someone shoot this guy?
