Teemu Selanne was drafted in 88, but stayed with Jokerit until joining Winnipeg in 92.

Rod Brind'Amour broke into the NHL in 1989.

Pronger looked rough tonight. My question, though, hockey journalists ... is Darryl Sutter's run done?

My question is, why do all the Sutters look like they should be sitting on a porch, playing "Dueling Banjos"?

The Rangers, Canadiens and Flyers must be thrilled about that.

I can't imagine why it wouldn't be done. I think it's all academic from here. Talk is that big changes are comings.

After jumping the shark with two trades that would give the Gilmour to Toronto trade a run for its money and saddling the team with little talent and little cap room and little talent coming, a house cleaning is coming. I think Brent Sutter survives, more because of the fact that the Flames are still paying for Keenan's contract, they don't want to throw another on the heap. The biggest question seems to be whether Iginla stays or goes. I have a hard time blaming him for the team's troubles this season because he was a one-man show offensively -- although Rene Bourque had a pretty damn good year. But trading Iginla may be the best way to expedite a rebuilding process and restocking the farm. At the very least recovering a first round pick for this season -- if they give Edmonton their third rd this year (as part of the Staios trade, optional this year or next) the Flames stand to not have a pick until the fourth round.

And yes, in case anyone is wondering, I am taking great joy in this.

Thanks, Beef03. I'm wondering if St. Louis would be a player if Iginla's on the market. STL should be able to put together a package of interest.

I've looked high and low to see if 3 shorties on the same penalty is a record. Unfortunately, my most recent NHL Guide is about 10 years old.

According to Chip Alexander of the (Raleigh) News & Observer, Mo is saying that it was a groin injury:
