Glad to see Cooke got up but good for Kane. A one punch KO.

And the Habs lose in OT to the Leafs but get the point they need to make the playoffs.

Four and you're out of the first round, Montreal.

    So tomorrow's Flyers-Rangers game is now a one-game playoff?

And Mike Modano's final game will go beyond 60 minutes.

Stars win a shootout. Modano is the First Star of the game and takes a victory lap in a North Stars jersey.

Yup. And when I checked this afternoon, NBC is showing a meaningless Boston/Caps game. Hope they change it

I'm still in shock that NBC would turn down a chance to show Flyers-Rangers, given the volume of airtime both teams get on that network every season.

Boston-Washington was chosen two weeks ago, when it appeared the Bruins were going to be fighting for their playoff lives. Rangers looked to be out of it and the Flyers appeared to be pretty safe. Nobody expected the Rangers to surge, the Flyers to tank, and the Bruins to have anything clinched by now when they had to make that decision (and they have to make it early enough to move a game into the TV time slot ... can't change it on 24 hours' notice).

Also the game gives them the opportunity to show Ovechkin again and work in one more "This guy really loves to score goals!"
They can play up the race for the Rocket Richard Award with Stamkos tying Ovechkin tonight at 50, becoming the third youngest I believe to score 50 behind Gretzky and Jimmy Carson.

Nothing has made me happier than seeing this, a 19 year old kicking the shit out of the biggest piece of shit in the league. Cooke finally fights, figures I'll fight a kid and boom. Hope he never plays again.

He instantly became the most popular player amongst his peers. Karma's a bitch.

    The "sisters" score a beauty.

112 points for one, 85 for the other, missing 18 games. Not a bad season for them.

you're a better man than me JR, I wish Cooke stayed down longer and felt the pain of Savard and others he's fucked.
