I hate to see Modano retire but after those two sendoffs, I want to see him go out on the highest of highs.

He also came out after the game to salute the Minnesota fans in a familiar sweater:

Awesome of Modano to do that.

Very cool stuff on Modano there.

Note, the Rangers-Flyers game is on the NHL Network.

In the WaPost today, Tarik El-Bashir theorized that Boudreau hasn't made a choice between Varlamov and Theodore for the postseason because he's waiting on the opponent. Theo hasn't played in any of the games against the Habs this year.

Rangers and Flyers tied with 3 minutes to play.

    edit: they've gone into OT.

in re Rangers-Flyers: This is when you kind of wish it was 20-minute sudden-death OTs ... otherwise, a shootout is kind of a crummy way to decide who gets a playoff berth.

Would be wild to see what essentially would be a playoff shootout. Not necessarily a good thing, mind you, but definitely a wild thing.

Crosby scores No. 50 ... again.

And it's shootout time in Philadelphia.

And Crosby *only* needs 5 more points to win the Art Ross.

    /yes, I'm kidding
