I just checked out the Panthers website, and it looked like the roster was pretty close to what their NHL one will be, except that they dressed 22 players and had four sets of D. Sounds like they were beat by the Finnish goalie who made 48 saves plus the shootout.

Funny quote from Burke about a great save The Monster made on Saturday night on a 2 and 0 breakaway against Detroit.

It’s Toronto, it’s one save, man,” Burke said. “But it does show you our market. One save and you’re putting him on cereal boxes.”

A friend of mine was at the game and said they gave him a standing O for the save and every time he touched the puck, they started chanting "Monster!! Monster".

It was a friggin' pre-season game.

Surprised there wasn't a parade down (up?) Yonge St

That was an HNIC game -- first preseason one ever.

Boy, did we blow it out of proportion, too. We were all laughing about it afterwards.

So now that Fleury has announced his retirement, can we get back to hockey in Calgary? Or for that matter, figuring out who's going to stop pucks when Kiprusoff is tired?

Was watching the Edmonton/Riders game on TSN but I did catch your interview with Babcock. Good stuff.

To say he's intense is kind of an understatement. Mike Richards is the perfect player for him

NYI claimed Robbie Shremp. Low risk, high reward move by Snow.

  10. Atlanta apparently liked what they saw from Max Afinigenov enough to sign in for 1 year at $800K per TSN.

No lose situation for the Thrash. Even if he doesn't work out, there's very little cap hit.

Sorrry. Don't understand. Why would he play for another team?
