That was my thought. Maybe Marcel Aubut was able to keep the rights to the Nordiques name and images when he sold the team. Anyways it sounds like he is involved in this latest venture at least discussion-wise, so who knows maybe the Nordiques will make a return.

I *think* the rights to the Nordiques name and logo is still owned by the NHL itself.

The return of that logo would reek of awesomeness.

    You imagine wrong.

It's the Stanley Cup Champions-- with two of the best three players in the league--playing an NHL team that's a work in progress.

Well that was one of the single longest moments of the season. The Oilers nearly gave that one away too. nice goal Horcoff, you've now scored more on your own net than the other team's this year.

Meanwhile, the past two games, Braydon Coburn has been possessed by the spirit of Karl Dykhuis.
You're protecting a 2-0 lead with a little more than two minutes left. Teemu Fucking Selanne is on the ice. Your partner moves up. You are coming off a game in which you were minus a bazillion and you scored into your own net. If you're Braydon, what do you do?
Why, you let Selanne get behind you, of course, then dive ineffectually at his ankles.
    What a moron.

Thank you, I feel better now.

Oh come on, I highly doubt he was a minus bazillion in one game. Two maybe. But not one ;)

Robyn Regehr has the Flames' worst plus-minus. That hurts.

Chelios just can't hang them up ... skating with, and about to sign with, the Chicago Wolves:

At least he never said he was retiring only to come back and play. Then say he was retiring again, only to come back and play again.
Let him play till no one's willing to sign him anymore.

Maybe he has a book coming out? ;)

I think I should write a book and try to get some semi-pro team to sign me so I can promote. However, I have a bad feeling that the only sport willing to take a chance on me would be competitive eating. I do afterall hold a perogy eating title.
