Wilson seems ill-suited to dealing with the crazy media scrutiny in Toronto. Burke seems to love it, Wilson always looks like he's trying to hold in a massive fart.

That can't be it...the Leafs shit the bed nightly.

Damien Cox blogged about that a few days back.

Blame the media! It's hard to concentrate with 24/7 coverage!!

We're either building monuments or ripping players to shreds. He loves to term it all the product of "you guys," as though reporters and columnists for the Star, Sun, Post, Globe, TSN, Sportsnet, The Score, CBC, The Fan 590, AM640 and every other media outlet think as one, work as one and all do their jobs exactly the same way and with the same dedication and effort. Only always sunny Leaf TV propaganda seems to suit Wilson, and that may not even be true

You've gotta wonder why he took the job in the first place.

well....apparently he wasn't comfortable with extra attention playing in Boston, so he's in for a rude awakening once he hits Toronto.

When it comes to the NHL, I suspect Toronto media coverage is Boston times 100

Congratulations to Nick Lidstrom, who became the first European defenseman to reach 1,000 points for his career, and the eighth overall, with a pair of assists tonight.

Quick question: Can the Avs be regarded as having made a big turnaround, or is this still up in the air as to whether they can keep it going for a big enough period of time to contend for the playoffs?

We all have to remember we are six, seven games into the season. The only guarantee right now is that the Leafs will continue to suck.

I think the Avs will be better than most thought but will still be a lottery team at the end of the season. First they have Anderson as their goalie, a career platoon/back up. he will eventually burn out. Raycroft got off to a great start last year too but was coming back to earth by the quarter pole. Also they are paper thin in terms of depth, one or two injuries will sink them. They are a feel good story right now, but will not last.
